Cravings

Below is a little selection of some items that I've been lusting over as of late. One of which I actually bought for myself the other day hehe.
1. Strappy Heels: These shoes have been all over the internet and its completely understandable why. They're sleek, timeless, and the perfect addition to an outfit. I've really been noticing how much shoes can change an outfit and these are just the apple of my eye right now. I rarely wear heels though so its not a smart buy.

2. Boyfriend Jeans: I love how slouchy and casual these look! Paired with strappy heels and a camisole...perfection.

3: Simple White Dress: My tan has been coming along nicely and I feel like I now need a white dress to compliment it. Something simple like this would be so versatile to layer with and wear all year long.

4. Flower Crown: My friends call me the flower child and as time goes on the more I feel the name really suits me. Flower crowns are everywhere and I feel a bit overdone at times, but I can't help from lusting for one of my very own!

5. Thigh-High Boots: This is the item I recently bought for myself, not these ones specifically but similar ones. I came across a picture of Vanessa Hudgens with thigh high boots, knee highs, and a cute little dress and I just fell head over heels in love. I think they're a very versatile statement shoe and I'm happy I found a wonderful pair for only $40.

6. Wedge Sneakers: When these first came about, I thought they were hideous until I saw the Isabel Marant ones on Sincerely Jules and I understood the obsession. Recently I've been seeing these Target ones around and I think they're a gorgeous dupe. While they are only $35, I'm still too hesitant to spend my money on them.

I'm also craving a pair of Birkenstocks but I'm so on and off with them I don't know what to do with myself. Until my next post, Elyse.

Worldwide Wardrobe

My entry for the Worldwide Wardrobe Contest:

Cocktails in New York: I love this dress because its long sleeves offset it's sexy fitted shape. It's texture also adds something else to the plain neutral color. The black strappy heels and gold chain necklace really glam it up. For a pop of color, this neon clutch is sure to turn heads. I've been to New York once about four years ago now and I've been dying to go back. It was a wonderful experience back then, but I'm sure it would be even better now since I'm much more appreciative of everything around me!

Jeans: Own the Runway, 35

Shopping in London: The most important thing when shopping is being comfortable so these stretchy high-waisted pants and oversized tee are perfect. The boots are easy to slip on and off and the jacket will keep you warm in the unpredictable London weather. To top it all off, the bright yellow bag adds some fun and much needed sunshine to the whole look. I've never been to London, and it is very high up on my list of places to go. The street style there is impeccable and since I only know English it would be an easy transition :)

Total:173

Party by the Moon in Thailand: Compared to the typical dress to go to a party in, I thought these trousers were perfect. They're so much fun for a tropical climate and keep your legs covered in the cooler night. Paired with the white crop-top the perfect amount of skin and that fresh tan peeks through. The shoes and Necklace bring the whole look together with their fun colors. Thailand has been number one on my places to travel to for at least 3 years now. South East Asia is one of my favorite topics to learn about. The culture, the land, the religions, everything about it is just so interesting! When I get enough money I will definitely be signing up to volunteer abroad in Thailand. I already know it will be a life changing experience.

If I were 5'5

So I am slightly over 5'9 and I know that is not crazy tall. Only a little above average. But I have this thing where I like feeling small, so heels are generally out of the question. I don't buy them because I never wear them. But if I were 5'5, I would buy these shoes and rock them.
1. Heeled Brown Booties: Every day essential. Perfect for jeans, shorts, skirts, casual, dressy, literally anything.

2. Tapestry Wedges: A printed shoe is a must have for heel wearers and this tapestry print is right up my aisle.

3. Clog: Anyone remember the Miley Cyrus outfit with the clogs? Its been imprinted in my mind.

4. Wedge Sneakers: At first, I hated these. But now I see how perfect they would be for my casual laid back style.

5. Wooden Platform Shoe: These would be an essential. Again, works with jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses, casual, dressy, just anything.

6. Blue Wedge: A pop of color in your shoe is always fun. I personally like blue, or even kelly green.

7. Mary Jane Black Heel: A twist on the classic black pump. Necessity.

8: Heeled Chelsea Boot: Easy to style, comfortable, and a beautiful silhouette.

9: Barely There Stiletto: These are very in right now and I completely understand why. They are GORGEOUS. I love the industrial tread on the bottom to keep them from being too feminine. Perfect for me :)

Until my next post, Elyse.
